The End Of The Holidays Is Closing In Fast, So I Thought I Had Better Make The Most Of It. Spent A Day Driving Around The Local Area Veiwing What Reamins Of The Bush Tramways That Once Dominated The Area And Hope To Take A Trip To Hukarere And Walk Stratford Blair And CO. Tramway There. As For Today I Ventured Into The Clouds With A Quick Trip To Denniston. I Didn't Get A Chance To Ride The Railway There So We [My Father And I] Walked To Middle Break [From Conns Creek]. Its A Hell Of A Climb Up There But The Veiws And Relics Along The Incline Make I

Sorry About Not Loading The Pics. Once I Work Out How To Use My New Phone I Shall Upload Them. We Have Had A Fair Bit Of Rain Lately, Washed Out One Of The Bridges Near By, Although I Do Like It We There Are Floods. Last Time There Were Floods Like This Two Or Three La And Lc Wagons Surfaced In A Nearby River, This Year Parts From An Old Mill Siding.

Its Been A While Since My Last Post So I Thought I Better Put Another One Up... Things Are Getting Serious, I Find Myself Outside In The Workshop Yet Again, A Year Since The Material Trolley, Working On A 2 Man Alluminum Jigger. Almost Done I Am. Will Take Some Photos Tomorow And Post Them. Merry Christmas!

Spent The Day At Founders Today And Walked Away A Member. Got To See Something That Not Many Railfans Get To....

Between The Chassis Of A WF!

Started Painting DXC 5241 Today, Just In Time For The Arrival Of Jb 1236 [Jo-anne]. Jo anne Is From Holland And Is Actually A Ja, It Is A Plastic Model Created Using Shapeways, A Site Which Allows You To Upload Models And Have Them Printed. JB 1236 Ran An Excursion Through The Area I Am Modelling Last Year Thus An Excuse To Buy One. Ironically My Mother Is Also Called Jo Ann So My Loco Has Inherited Her Name Both In Honor Of Her And The Real Thing. The Model Has Turned Out Extremely And I Would Recomend Visiting This Link [http://www.shapeways.com/search?q=nz120] And Having A Browse. A Link To The Shapeways Homepage Can Be Found On The Links Page Of This Website. The Models Are Relatively Cheap, Shipping Is Like $20 And They Can Get Your Models To You In Two Weeks Or So. Now, Time For A Wab.

Visited A Friends Layout Over The Weekend And Was Interested To See Their Method For Building Hills. He Used Expanding Foam, And Plans To File And Shape The Giant Blobs Down To The Appropriate Shape And Size. Would Be Interesting To Find Out How It Works Out...

Right I Have Finished The Cab And Toolbox For The Dj Using Sketchup And Have Placed An Order To Have Them Shipped, Along With A Ja. Now Once I Have Some Plans I Can Start On The Longhood.

Today I Salvaged A 88 Seater From The Bowels Of The Layout [NZR OO Club
Layout] And Fixed That Up So That Has Been Put Back On The Layout And The NZR
Look Alike Wagons Replaced With Proper Kitsets And Moulded Wagons . I Also Found
A Dj That Needs A New Cab And Longhood. Along With The DJ I Am
Currently Building A Gaurds Van For The Layout Aswell. The Dj Is Fully Operation
[Unlike The 88 Seater] So Getting The 88 Seater Up And Running Will Be Next
Weekends Project. We Had The Fa On The Mainline For A Bit But It Would Rather
Continue Off The Track Rather Than Stop, Dont Know What To Do About This... The
Layout Is Automatic But Both The Dj And Fa Dont Stop, And The 88 Seater Doesn't
Run. Strange...

Labour Weekend Has Been Good To The N.S.M. [Nelson Society Of Modellers] And
Me So Far...

Today Saw The Club House Re Arranged, With Alot Of Models, Including A Rather
Impressive 5 Gauge Model Of Ab 778, Getting A Good Clean And A Bit Of T.L.C. One
Layout Is Receiving A Lot Of Attention And A Revamp...

This Includes Scratch Building Some Loco's And Rollingstock As The Layout Is
NZR, But In OO Scale. Thought I Might Try CAD.
